PDP: The Search For A Worthy Leader – Manu speaks…
The best time to test the good fortunes of the Peoples’ Democratic Party is now. Party faithful and delegates from all works of life and the length and breadth of the entire nation shut down the capital city of Abuja today cum the Eagle Square filled to capacity as the PDP Elective Convention for National Structure commenced in earnest.
His Excellency, Haruna Manu alongside aides and other government functionaries and State party leaders received Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku, the Executive Governor of Taraba State on his arrival at the venue.
In his view, His Excellency’s disposition remains optimistic and his resolve hopeful that the right choice will be made by all as this is the defining moment in the life of the Peoples’ Democratic Party and the preparation towards a takeover from All Progressive Party come 2019.
His Excellency, Haruna Manu made beautiful remarks towards the withdrawal from the race by some of the Chairmanship Aspirants as the spirit of sportsmanship and that their loyalties weren’t a sham as they gracefully attended the convention.
As always, His Excellency, Manu maintained that the race must not be a do or die affair and that after the election, let those who lost show magnanimity and embrace the winner because the cause of 2019 takeover should be far more important than personal ambitions.
His Excellency also prayed for peaceful and rancor-free convention today. So far so good!
