This is more than Entrepreneurship development, this is a seed to An Industrial Revolution!! Hon.Barr. Sunday Marshall Katung setting the pace with a Legislative Swag.
It is a non-debatable fact that no conscious society will progress in negation of the plights of her Youths as well as that of its women who play sensitive roles in the progress of the society.
When one empowers a single woman, a family is empowered and when a family is empowered, a community is empowered.
When one ignores a single youth, the next generation is ignored and when a generation is ignored, their is no hope for the future .
Burdened by the alarming rate of Joblessness as well as the escalation of poverty and crime rate, the Honourable member representing Jaba /Zango Federal Constituency in the house of Representatives, Hon. Barr. Sunday Marshal Katung in a conscious effort to mitigate the menace unemployment is bringing to the society, introduced a 5 day Entrepreneurship and Skill acquisition program for youths and women from Jaba and Zango Kataf Local Government Areas of Kaduna State.
The Program which commenced on Monday, 19th June 2017 at The Bajju Town hall with the aim of creating new entrepreneurs has since been yielding fruits as over 170 youths and women have so far been trained in a wide range of skills.
Today is day Four and Still counting. With the collaboration of SMEDAN, skills have been learnt and practicalised in areas of Liquid Soap Formulation and Production, Detergent Making and a wide range of household usable.
The careful planning as well as the execution of the program is a confirmation to our beliefs that Hon. Marshal is more interested in teaching people how to catch Fish rather than giving the Fish out.
We will recall that in the beginning of this year’s farming season, Hon. Sunday Marshal katung Provided truck loads of fertilizers for free to his constituents in Jaba and Zangon Kataf L. G. As to ensure that Agricultural productivity is been boosted.
The skill acquisition training has so far sown a seed for an industrial revolution as indirectly, participants have now seen that it is not by magic that the Chinese as well as other industrialized nations have attained the feat they are now but a concerted effort of small and medium enterprises.
Hon. Sunday Marshal has set the pace already, other legislatures must emulate.
