The internally displaced persons from Cameron as a result of crises that ensued between the Anglophone and the Francophone who sought for relief in Bissaula community were today given relief materials by His Excellency the Governor of Taraba state Arch. Darius Dickson Ishaku.
Bissaula, a community in Kurmi Local Government Area shares boundary with Ussa Local Government. This peaceful agrarian community has come under incessant attacks as a results of crises between the Anglophone and the francophone which resulted in the inflow of about 3000 refugees.
The chairman of Kurmi Local Government, who also hail from the same community, Hon. Stephen Ibrahim Agya alongside the governors delegates, the councillor representing Baissala ward received the relief materials on behalf of the displaced persons.
In his remark, Hon. Stephen who acknowledged the receipts of the materials thank the rescue captain His Excellency Arch. Darius Dickson Ishaku for his timely intervention in bringing succour to the displaced persons.
Agya said “Your quick response to the plight of my community shows your concerns for the grassroots. You have in all times assured Tarabians of your tireless efforts to bring peace.”
He therefore assured the governor’s delegations of his commitment to finding lasting and a workable solutions to the raging crises as he appealed and sued for peace.
In his own remark, the Governor representatives who cautioned the community on reprisal attacks, and implored the displaced persons to seek the face of God concerning their plights as he share same with them.
“Nobody among you has ever wished to be in a camp called IDP but for the fact that you are here does not mean life has ended, it is rather a trying moment which with time my government with the help of God and your supports will overcome with victory ascertained” he said.
The displaced persons who thank the governor’s delegates and the chairman, councillor and his aides in identifying with them in their trying moment, pray God to continuously shower His blessings and wisdom upon them.
Mr. Saleh Dauda who spoke on behalf of the displaced persons said “for coming to identify with us at this time, it shows how every life matters in the rescue government of Arch. Darius Dickson Ishaku. On behalf of all of us we sincerely remain indebted for this show of love and pray God to bless the governor and his cabinets as we look forward to soon return to our homes “
