The association known as Keep Hope Alive was at the Kajuru IDPs Camp today where they celebrated Easter with the widows and had Love Feast, shared clothes, prayed and sang with them.
You will recall that the wanton killings in Kajuru started few days after the statement made by the governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasiru El-rufai on 15th of February, 2019, alleging that a number of Fulani people including women and children have been killed by the locals.
The women were from Karmai, Unguwan Barde and Dogon Noma. They were above 100, both old and young widows.
The convener and president of Keep Hope Alive encouraged the widows not to lose hope as the scripture says that God is the husband of the widow.
The president and convener said thus; Our mothers, I will be telling lies if I said I understand what you’re passing through as widows but let your consolation come from G od and I will encourage you to hold God by his words as the Bible says, that God is the husband of the widow.”
The attacks in Kajuru so far have left thousands homeless including 2000 children who are presently spread in eights IDPs Camps of Three Local Governments (Kajuru, Chikun and Kachia).
You will also recall that the chief of Adara was kidnapped and killed a day after the Kasuwan Magani crisis. Since then peace has eluded that Local Government.
