Dr. Fayemi’s convoy knocks down a police officer

A police officer was knocked down by the APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Kayode Fayemi convoy yesterday in Ado Ekiti on their way to his campaign flag off.

The campaign flag off which took place yesterday was attended by all the movers and shakers of the APC, prominent among them were; the Vice President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, the APC National chairman, John Odigie Oyegun, former governor of Lagos State, Ahmed Bola Tinibu (Jagaban), former governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshomole, former governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu (SAN), governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, among other party faithful.

The police officer was said to be at his duty post when he was knocked down by a vehicle in the convoy.

The officer who was identified as Inspector Kayode Gabriel was due for promotion to the rank of ASP by next week before the ugly incident which claimed his life.
