Southern Kaduna worthy son of the soil, lawyer, entrepreneur, social activist and public speaker has announced the opening of a Chocolate City Lounge in Abuja.
Maikori who is also the founder and president of the Chocolate City Entertainment, took to his Facebook page to announce the lounge in the wee hours of Wednesday. In a terse post barrister Maikori wrote:
“Today Chocolate City Group is pleased to announce the unofficial official opening of CCX lounge.” The Lagos based lawyer further notes about CCX: “It’s a place were we have tried to marry the African culture, sound and feel with some more contemporary and intercontinental elements. We invite you to stop by preferably with your friends, buy a drink, order some Asun and just sit back and taste our version of bespoke entertainment which could be anything from a jazz night to a G.A.P meeting”
Maikori is also known for his role as a judge of Nigerian Idol’s first season. He won multiple awards in his career, including the International Young Music Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2007. His entrepreneurship prowess is evident in his Chocolate City Entertainment Company with big music acts signed to his record label. The label is home to recording artists such as M.I, Femi Kuti, Ice Prince, DJ Caise, Pryse, Nosa, Jesse Jagz, Victoria Kimani, Dice Ailes, Koker, Ruby Gyang, DJ Lambo, Loose Kaynon, Kahli Abdu & VHS Safari.
